Effective December 3rd, 2018, renter-occupied homes will no longer be assigned "Home Energy Assessment" visit types. Only "Renter Visit" and "Landlord HEA" visit types will be allowed. Energy Savvy will be updated to only allow "Renter Visit" and "Landlord HEA" visit types when the occupant is identified as a renter at intake; the relevant question in the application now reads: "Is the home renter-occupied?” where No is for owner-occupied and Yes is for renter-occupied homes.
Renter visit - Selected when the landlord is not involved or interested. The visit is like an SHV, no CST or work scope is completed. Does not count towards conversion and is paid at $100
Landlord visit - Selected when the landlord is involved. The visit is like a standard HEA, full CST and work scope is completed. Counts towards conversion and is paid at $175.
Please review the attached guide to help determine which visit type to choose and update your staff on these changes. Please stress the importance of correctly selecting if the home is renter occupied. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out.
